The computing laboratory consists of 198 P4 computers spread across three labs. Here, students work in high level programming languages such as C, C++, VB, VC++, Java and COBOL.
Equipped with Workstations from IBM, the lab is specifically used for multimedia programming. It focuses on training students in multimedia tools like Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Sound Forge and Maya to develop related applications. Specific multimedia hardware kits are used for multimedia programming and demonstration.
UIT has invested in an ultra high-speed Fiber Optic Backbone for networking across the campus. The highly distributed computing environment at UIT uses cutting-edge computer simulation to solve problems for industry and academia.
