Centre For Research

Center for Research of UIT aims to foster a culture of research in our institution. Its foundation lies on the firm belief that fundamental responsibility of any organization is to stay connected with the community by the way of understanding its major issues and problems and suggesting means to resolve them. Realizing the significance of quality research, UIT gives prime importance to promote, enhance and facilitate high impact research and related scholarly activities. The core action is to raise an intellectual culture, to encourage scholarship and upgrade the quality of research for making meaningful contributions to development of policies that impact the society. Conferences and Faculty Development Programmes are frequently organized to exchange ideas and to bring together active researchers. The Institute has a well formulated research committee with senior professors and experienced faculty members.

  1. The IQAC is a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance
  2. The prime duty of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of the institution.
  3. IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for ensuring the successful completion of academic and administrative tasks.
  4. Optimize and integrate the modern methods of teaching and learning.
  5. Facilitating the quality education and faculty involvement to adopt the required knowledge, technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  6. Developing and maintaining the institutional database for the purpose of enhancing the institutional quality.
  7. The main function is to prepare the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
  8. IQAC will ensure enhancement and coordination among various activities of the institution.
  9. IQAC will facilitate to build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication

Procedures and policies for maintaining and utilizing physical, academic and support facilities

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) has been established to train and motivate the engineering students to become Job Creators rather than Job Seekers. It aims to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit among the students such as the spirit of resilience, risk taking and dedication.

EDC has signed MOU with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) in Ahmadabad, Gujarat to conduct a one year course of Diploma in Entrepreneurship & TiE Coimbatore.

This cell organizes the regular meet on every Wednesday and motivates the students members by conducting invited talks of leading industrialists and entrepreneurs from various fields. And also EDC organizes college level motivational lectures for all the branches of Engineering.

EDC performs the following activities at regular interval:

The Centre for upskilling and empowerment (CUE ) Department of UIT aims to consistently produce competent, professionally ethical, Socially responsible and eco-friendly engineers who would be empowered to innovate, invent and provide optimal engineering solutions to the society.

CUE Career Development Program

CUE empowers the students to explore and realize their career path. We offer counseling in career planning and assist students in setting up achievable goals. We provide structured training programs and guidance to achieve their dream career.

CUE Training Methodology

A series of Pre Training Assessments will be administered to each and every individual .The students will then be coached, guided, mentored or trained depending on their needs. In order to measure the training effectiveness the students will also be subjected to a series of Post Training Assessment after completion of each training module.
